Ian Jones joined NGTI as President on 1st June this year, bringing with him a wealth of production and distribution experience gained from high profile roles such as COO of ITEL and most recently, general manager of Granada International, the sales arm of ITV - one of the world's largest distributors. Ian has also actively promoted the international sector through his role as chairman of the BTDA (British Television Distributors' Association), a position he held for 18 months until this summer.
Since joining, Ian has also taken the opportunity to restructure the senior management team at National Geographic Television International, in order to help shape the business for the future.
Former sales director Edwina Thring becomes head of programmes and ex Television Corporation sales director, Anna Fuge, has joined the company as the new head of sales. In addition, Michelle Waldron, formerly from the agency world and a board director of the British Television Distributors' Association, has joined as director of marketing and communications.
Edwina is now responsible for co-production/pre-sale activity, but will retain her sales role for the UK. Anna takes on French and German speaking territories and as a result of all of these changes, Joanna Rowley will add Australia and New Zealand to her client portfolio.
