NGTI INKS NEW DEALS FOR NATURE CONSERVATION TITLES

Published: 5 May 2005

Following the pre-Mip announcement that National Geographic Television International had acquired the catalogue of leading wildlife production company Nature Conservation Films, NGTI can now confirm new sales for two of the key titles – Elephants of the Kilimanjaro and The Monkey Hunters.

ELEPHANTS OF THE KILIMANJARO (1 x 52) has been licensed to KBS in Korea, Lativi in Indonesia and TVB in Hong Kong, while THE MONKEY HUNTERS (1 x 52) has been licensed to Ten Network in Australia and SABC3 in South Africa, as well as KBS, Lativi and TVB.

Joanna Rowley, sales manager responsible for these territories comments: “Nature Conservation Films has a tremendous reputation for its wildlife and there is a great deal of interest in the catalogue, with these two new programmes spearheading sales. In addition to beautiful photography, they are in demand because of their strong stories and wonderful lead animal characters.”

Post-Mip, Ten Network has also licensed ONE DAY, ONE WORLD: THE WEATHER (1 x 52), which contrasts and compares the weather across six continents in one 24-hour period.
